ITIL already pointed out the importance of continuous improvement in the earlier versions. On the one hand, it is necessary for the Service Provider to deliver consistent, repeatable process activities to safeguard the service quality. On the other hand, however, the continuous search for improvements as part of the promised service quality is also important.
