The public Scoping Report of the OGC continually publishes the status of the developments in the ITIL Refresh Project. In doing this, both the past progress and the further planning are presented, and the content of results already obtained are also outlined. The report provides a good insight of what we, as TITL users, can expect from the new version. Refresh Document (PDF)

The most important results of the reviews were listed in accordance with the report of April 2005 and their consideration in ITIL 3 was described.
The project consists of a series of committees that will guarantee the quality and consistency of the new IT%IL books in collaboration with the authors. It must be emphasised here that it has been ensured that there is a representation of all relevant interest groups in all the committees. I.e. representatives of the itSMF, the EXIN and the ISEB, users and service providers, tool producers, trainers, training course providers, public administrations, as well as private companies, research institutes, academic organisations and so on. The tasks of the individual committees and roles will be explained.
Unlike the previous ITIL books, the core of the new version will be created within a centrally controlled project. Authors have been sought and have been contractually commissioned for this. A high quality and consistency will be attained for the new books through the close interaction between the authors and the project committees.
