With the help of an ISO 20000 analysis a comprehensive status report is created to determine the degree to which the practical characteristics of the ITIL processes in the company already meet ISO 20000 certification. In this context, the differences compared with the necessary level of maturity (4 to 5) as well as the standard, are documented and evaluated in detail, based on the ITIL Process Maturity Model (PMM). The current situation is analyzed with regard to the technologies used, interfaces between processes and tools as well as roles and responsibilities. Ideally, the result should contain recommendations on both implementation as well as the anticipated short and long-term gains.
