Guidelines & basic principles

The formulation of standards and guidelines is the basis of any IT governance model in regard to the establishment of a service and process-orientated culture within the IT organization. The aim is to create a culture which is based on the process of continual improvement in accordance with the “Plan, Do, Check, Act” principle. In this context the strategic objective is the consistent orientation towards the established frameworks and standards and to implement this orientation cost effectively in the appropriate way according to the size of the company. The objective of this phase is to formulate a service management policy, security policy, documentation policy and service transition & release policy specifically to suit the company’s requirements.
